Join the ToonSeum on Friday June 5th from 7pm-11pm at Verno Studios on the Southside as they celebrate KA-BLAM!
KA-BLAM! Is the ToonSeum’s annual fundraising party. Now in it’s second year, KA-BLAM! Is a celebration of the cartoon arts. This year’s theme is the art of comic books, and will include life size comic book covers on display, free comic books and models dressed as superheroes.
The event will also feature live entertainment including, music by the Whips, DJ Raw-Z, Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, live cartooning demonstrations and a performance by Paige Turner. The grown-up only event will also feature caricature artists, balloon artists, and the premiere of the Mega-Ton Martini! KA-BLAM is not just a party for those interested in cartoons, there is something for everyone.
There will be a silent auction featuring original cartoon art and one of a kind experiences.
“This year we wanted to do something different with our auctions, and not just present the usual auction items seen at every other event” Said ToonSeum Executive Director Joe Wos, “We asked some of the ToonSeum’s friends to come up with unique items and opportunities that would only be available at KA-BLAM!”
