Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer with Cartoon Canines at the ToonSeum!

The Dog Days of Summer officially arrive Saturday, July 24th when the ToonSeum unveils its latest exhibit Cartoon Canines, starring some of man's best cartoon friends.

The Dog Days of Summer: Cartoon Canines features over 50 pieces of original comic strip, animation, and cartoon art of the most famous dogs of all time. Spanning over 100 years of illustrated history, this family-friendly exhibit is surely the largest gathering of these characters in one doghouse.

Cartoon Canines is highlighted by original artwork from the legendary Charles M. Schulz, an early comic strip from Tad Dorgan (circa 1913), turn-of-the-century strips from England and France, Disney production sketches and more. Snoopy, Scooby Doo, Huckleberry Hound, Grimmy, Pluto, Underdog, Ruff, Farley, Goofy, and Auggie Doggie are all off the leash and on our gallery walls, with many more to keep your tail wagging.

The ToonSeum has also scheduled several special events in the comings weeks, including screenings, character meet-and-greets and doggie adoption drives. Cartoon Canines promises a howling good time.

The exhibition runs from July 24th through September 19th.
